Killstreak Review: RC-XD

The RC-XD (Remote Control Explosive Device) is a killstreak which requires 3 kills, 2 with Hardline. It is unlocked at level 10 and costs 1200. It is a fully controlable killstreak that puts you in control of an explosive remote controled car, but it leaves you unprotected. it is better to use it in a safe spot. It can be triggered when you want or after 30 seconds of deployement. You can also boost it L2/LB/4. It will very often directly kill, except if the enemy has Flak Jacket.
The RC-XD is a pretty good killstreak, but the Spy Plane is a better choice. Like all killstreaks, it won't count till the next one. It runs faster than all the players, even with Liteweight and can destroy other killstreaks like Dogs, SAM Turrets and other RC-XDs. It can be slowed down with a Flashbang and destroyed with a Claymore. There are also many hidden RC-XD trails on Hanoi, Radiation, Nuketown, Kowloon, Grid and WMD. A good strategy is to rack up many of them and use them one after the other.

New vid

A cool vid on demolition on Array. I get a triple kill with the AUG and a multikill (4 kills) with the Napalm Strike. I was using the explosive class.

Killstreak Review: Spy Plane

The Spy Plane (Lockheed U-2) is a killstreak which requires 3 kills to get, 2 with Hardline. It is avaible since level 1 by default. It reveals enemy location with red dots, except those with Ghost, and lasts for 30 seconds. It shows the enemy location every 4 seconds. It can be easily destroyed with only one rocket. It helps the whole team, like the Blackbird.
The Spy Plane is a good low killstreak, better than the RC XD, because it can help you get higher killstreaks. It is useless to activate a spy plane when an enemy counter spy plane or an allied Blackbird is activated, it will only waste it. You can also activate many Spy Planes at the same time making the enemy location be shown faster.

Did you know that since the Black Ops release...

  • The top 3 guns used are the Famas, the AK74u and the Galil.
  • Over 1.5 trillion shots were fired.
  • The top 3 perks used are Marathon, Sleight of Hand and Liteweight.
  • The deadliest killstreak is the RC XD.
  • Over 50 million videos of Black Ops are online.
  • Over 5,200,000,000 headshots were made.
  • Over 1,000,000,000 cars were destroyed.
These stats have probably changed, but it's still cool!

Gun Review: Famas

The Famas is the 4th Assault Rifle and is unlocked at level 14. It is a short-medium ranged gun that can also be used at long range. It has a magazine capacity of 30 rounds per mag and 45 eith extended mags. The damage and the stats are almost the same as the AUG, being 35-30 short-medium range and 25 long range. In rea life it is the french rifle of choice and began production in 1978.
It is a good gun, with medium recoil and high rate of fire. The recoil is medium, but you won't need Steady Aim. It has a good iron sight so the sights aren't mandatory, but the reflex / red dot sight can still fit well. Out of the 10 attachements this gun has, the best are the suppressor and dual mags. The grenade launcher or the sights can also fit well. For perks I recommend Scavenger or Ghost - Sleight of Hand - Marathon or Hacker. Since it is a short medium ranged weapon a good secondary would be a launcher. It is one of the most used guns in the game, alongside the AK74u and the Galil.

Damage: 8/10   Recoil: 8/10   Mobility: 8/10   Other: 7.5/10
Overall: 8/10

Equipement Review: Nova Gas

The Nova Gas is a tactical grenade unlocked at level 4. It slows down and intoxicates the enemy, damaging him and making his screen weird. It does 13 damage per second and it takes eight seconds to kill. It doesn't last a lot, only a few seconds. Pleyers with Tactical Mask will not be affected by it. You spawn with 1, 2 with Warlord Pro, and you can get more with Scavenger. It is not the best choice for tactical but it is good to defend objectives. It is possible to damage yourself with it.
Overall: 7/10

Equipement Review: Willy Pete

The Willy Pete is a tactical smoke grenade and is unlocked at level 4. It creates a smoke area for 9 seconds. It has a 7.5 meter range and causes 15 damage on impact and 20 if the enemy is near the detonation. It can sometimes kill and it softly stuns enemies at about 1 meter range. It's the only tactical being limited to 1 with no more even with Scavenger an Warlord Pro. It is good to cover bomb areas while defusing or planting. It is possible to damage yourself with it.
Utility: 8.5/10

Equipement Review: Flashbang Grenade

The Flashbang is a tactical stun grenade unlocked at level 4. It blinds the enemy hit. It has a 20 meter radius and does 15 damage if an enemy gets directly hit, which can kill in last stand. It is very slow to prepare, but it is very effective even if the enemy is aiming at you, unlike the Concussion. It is also possible to stun enemy sentry guns and yourself with it. It is good to enter buildings or enemy spawns.
Utility: 8.5/10

Equipement Review: Concussion Grenade

The concussion grenade is a tactical stun grenade unlocked at level 4. It disorients the enemy and makes him move slower. It has a 12.5 meter range and you will recieve a hitmarker if an enemy is stuned. It also damages doing 15 per hit, which can kill in last stand. It is very fast to prepare but it is useless if the enemy is already aiming at you unlike the Flashbang. It is also possible to stun enemy sentry guns and yourself. It is good for entering an enemy spawn or building.
Utility: 8.5/10

Good Classes: Explosive class

This is a new feature I will add. In this feature I will give advice on good classes based on a theme.

  • Primary: AUG with grenade launcher
  • Secondary: RPG
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Willy Pete
  • Equipement: C4
  • Perk 1: Scavenger
  • Perk 2: Sleight of Hand
  • Perk 3: Hacker or Marathon
This is an Explosive class. It is good for objective based games like Domination or Demolition.
Here is a video showing kills I got with this class.

Gun Review: FN FAL

The FN FAL is the 7th Assault Rifle and is unlocked at level 32. Similar to the M14, it is a semi automatic medium range gun which can be also used for short or long range. It's a good gun, a better option to the M14. It has 20 bullets per mag, 30 with extended mags. The damage is like the M14 being 50 short range and 40 long range. In real life it is a Belgium rifle that began production in 1953 and is used until now. Having been used in over 90 countries, it is one of the most widely used rifles in history.
The FN FAL has high damage and medium recoil, less than the M14. It has 10 attachements, replacing the M14's grip for dual mags. The best is the acog but it can also be used with masterkey, flamethrower, dual mags or suppressor. The perks won't change much, maybe you will want steady aim but it is not necessary. A good secondary would be a pistol for short range.

Damage: 9/10   Recoil: 6.5/10   Mobility: 7/10   Other: 7.5/10
Overall: 7.5/10

Equipment Review: Decoy

The Decoy is a tactical grenade avaible at level 4. It costs 1500. It makes gun noises and shows red dots on enemy radar. It is good to distract, confuse and to ambush the enemy. It also distracts dogs. It can also be thrown out of the map, it is useless but funny, and sometimes it can confuse the enemy. It does no damage to the enemy, except if he stands on it while it makes the gun sounds.
Utility: 8/10

Gun Review: SPAS-12

The SPAS-12 is the 3rd shotgun and is unlocked at level 24. It is a close range weapon. It is one of the best shotguns next to the Steakout. It has 8 bullets per mag and the damage is 240 at close range if very precise and 80 at medium-long range, also if precise. The Sporting Purpose Automatic Shotgun is an Italian pump action/semi automatic shotgun which was used from 1970 until 2000.
The SPAS-12 is a good shotgun with pretty high damage, it will not always kill in one shot and the recoil is a little high, but the 8 bullet mag will not suffer to much from this. The only attachement this gun has is the suppressor so it must be used, also because it will not affect the gun's stats. For the perks I reccomend Ghost - Sleight of Hand - Marathon. For secondary a pistol is a good choice.
Damage: 8.5/10   Recoil: 7/10   Mobility: 7.5/10   Other: 7/20
Overall: 7/10

Gun Review: M14

The M14 is the 3rd Assault Rifle unlocked at level 9. It is a medium range semi automatic gun that can also be use for short or long range. It is a good gun, but the FN FAL is a better option. It has 20 bullets per mag, 30 with extended mags. The damage is high for an assault rifle being 50 at short range and 40 in long range. In real life, it is an American automatic assault rifle used from 1959 until 1970 after being replaced by the M16.
The M14 has a high damage and a good rate of fire for fast fingers, but it is limited by the high recoil. Out of the 10 attachements this gun has, the acog sight and the grip are the best. It can also be used with a flamethrower or a masterkey for short range combat. The perks wont make a big difference except for steady aim if the grip is not attached. For secondary I recommend a pistol for short range or a launcher.

Damage: 9/10   Recoil: 4.5/10   Mobility: 7/10   Other: 7.5/10
Overall: 7/10

Gun Review: Olympia

The Olympia is the 1st Shotgun and is unlocked by default at level 1. It is a short range combat weapon. This gun is fun to use, but it's not a good one. It has only 2 bullets per mag and has no attachements. The damage is 40 at close range and 10 at medium range. It does not exist in real life.
The Olympia is powerful for a shot gun, but the frequent need of reload and the slow rate of fire limit its power, the Steakout and the SPAS-12 are a lot better. For the perks I recomment Ghost / Lightweight, Sleight of Hand and Marathon. For secondary the pistols fit well, but since this gun must not be taken seriously, a special would also do. Most of the time it will not kill with one bullet, so you must be as close to the enemy as possible when shooting.

Damage: 8/10   Recoil: 7/10   Mobility: 6/10   Other: 4/10
Overall: 5/10

Gun Review: L96A1

The L96A1 is the 3rd Sniper Rifle and is unlocked at level 27. It is a long range bolt action weapon, but can also be used in short or medium range if skilled. The magazine capacity is 5 per mag and 10 with extended mags. The damage is high being 70 unsilenced and 50 silenced, so I don't recommend using the silencer. It is a British sniper and began production in 1988.
The L96A1 is a powerful gun and the best sniper rifle. But it has a pretty high recoil and a slow rate of fire, if not a skilled sniper marksman, this gun may be a little difficult to use. Out of the 5 attachements this gun has, the variable zoom is the best. It is also fun to use with the acog but harder. The perks won't matter except for the second one. Steady Aim is probably the best, Sleight of Hand is another good one. Being a long ranged weapon I recommend a pistol for secondary like the Python or the CZ75.

   Damage: 10/10   Recoil: 5/10   Mobility: 6.5/10   Other: 8.5/10
Overall: 7.5/10

Gun Review: AUG

The AUG is the 6th assault rifle and is unlocked at level 26. It is good for close and long range combat and has a magazine capacity of 30 rounds. The damage is 35 per bullet at a 30m range and drops to 25 in 30+m. It is an Australian assault rifle and is in production since 1978 (In real life). It is moslty used by Australia and by Argentina.
In game, the AUG is a good gun, with low recoil and good damage. It is similar to the Famas having almost the same statistics. It also has a good iron sight removing the need of the reflex, red dot and acog sights. It has 10 attachements like most of the other assault rifles. I prefer to use it with the silencer (stealth), dual mags (ammo) or both. Since it is good for short and long range combat, a good secondary would be a launcher like the RPG or the Strella 3.

Damage: 8/10   Recoil: 8.5/10   Mobility: 7.5/10   Other (attachements, range,...): 7/10
Overall: 8/10
